God winning!

Romans 8:37  “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. ” We can conquer through Him.

2 Samuel 22:7  “In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears.” I can call on Him, and He will win!

Psalm 7:10 “My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart.” He will win. He saves us!

Proverbs 3:11 “My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction: For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.” He is like a father and He will do what is right.

Joh 16:33  “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” He has Won!

Work trip

I just got back from a work trip I took Thursday-Saturday. We went to this place called Elijah’s Harbor in Tenn. There was a total of nine people that went. We got two bedrooms, a dining room and entry-way painted. We also got a good portion of landscaping done.

Elijah’s Harbor is a fancy bed & breakfast you might say. Additionally you can have all three meals served or you can make your own. Each meal is professionally made with no sparing. (Be prepared to be full) There is a mansion and individual houses. Animals, fishing, a pool, and much more. It is a beautiful place to visit!

A Picture of the Mansion-

Ps. Great for Christian retreats!

Selfies with cats.

So I ended up getting a second litter box. However I think Serafina just doesn’t like the dark. (I put the second litter box somewhere with light this time.)

Pictures of me having fun with my cats. Serafina and Shugums look like they are the ones who took the pictures. 🙂 (I don’t normally do selfies, but it’s the easiest way I can get them to look at the camera.)

Serafina finally let me take a picture of her face. Without me having to hold her.

A Poem that has meant much to me. “His Promise”

His Promise

When I awoke this morning,

A question came to me:

“I wonder, oh, I wonder,

What this day will hold for me?”

As I pondered o’er the question,

“Are you afraid to face the day?”

Quickly came my Savior’s promise,

“I will guide you all the way.”

Tenderly he whispers to me,

“Trust me when in sinking sand,

Keep your face like flint toward heaven

I will always hold your hand.”

And again this promise grips me

Romans 8, verse 28

Stands as true as when first given;

It will work if we but wait.

  Very dedicated woman.)-Vonda”

Poems I tried to write in school.

Stinky socks quickly go
Over and under the
Couch cushions
Kids jumping!
Sock falling

Gooey sticky
Little white stuff on a
Umbrella to keep it snug
Easy stuff to put on

Walk through a rainbow meadow with me
What do you see?
Yellow bright daisy’s, Red roses
Green green grass, Blue chicory
Blue cornflowers, and,
Pink forget me not’s,
Glittering in the bright warm sun
Waving back and forth in the wind

A Dream I once had.

“Rebekah and I were in the backyard at night. We were talking and laughing, and then I pointed someone out. It was Jesus. The rapture had come. He walked toward me, Rebekah was out of my mind I just saw Jesus. He gave me the most beautiful robe I had ever seen. I started up into the sky with Him. I went all the way up. I saw the different layers of the ozone. I saw space and all the stars and all the Galaxy’s. It was amazing! We got to Heaven and I was in awe. The first person I recognized was Nathan. I went and hugged him and then I said where is Mom. So Nathan and I went looking for her. In my dream people were in alphabetical order. So there was a place for A,B,C,D,E,F and G,H,I,J,K,L and M,N,O,P,Q,R and S,T,U and V,W,X,Y,Z. So we look for the sign that says VWXYZ. We found it and I looked through all the people there and I saw Mom. I ran to her and I hugged her so tight that done on earth if I did that to someone they would have died. I was crying tears of joy and I didn’t stop hugging her for the longest time. Next I started to walk around looking at all the beauty. Then I saw Grandpa Pycraft, Grandma Smith, and Joanne (an older lady I was close to) running down the streets of Gold, what a sight. I waved and we all started talking.”

I think I had this dream in 2013.

Notes from “Just do something” by Kevin Deyoung

Tinkering is good in building, but not in Decisions
Waiting for God’s will is not an excuse for doing nothing.
“Sometimes knowing, I don’t know is part of getting through” – (Better than I song)
God’s ‘will’ has three meanings.
1. Gods will of Decree-Settled
• God knows every detail
2. God’s will of Desire. – Command p, 19
• Say no to the desires of others p, 21 -last thoughts
3. God’s will of Direction. -Who, What, etc.

FAITH p,23 Seek ye First the kingdom of God.
Five reasons we might fret about God’s will:
1. We want to please God
• Good, but not how it works p, 26
2. Some of us are timid.
• Downright scared. Have faith.
3. We want perfect fulfillment.
• Life isn’t always fun, we shouldn’t expect it to be. We want it all. If you are following God’s word and keeping busy- you won’t think “is this right”. You will have wisdom.
4. We have too many choices
• Take a grocery store for example.
5. We are cowards.
• Think of Esther. Be Brave in the Lord.
Five Problems with the conventional approach to the Will of God.
1. We tend to focus on nonmoral decisions.
2. Do we have a sneaky God? (No)
3. I need to know the future.
4. Don’t blame me! – Don’t use God’s will wrongly.
5. It’s subjective.
God will help you, but it is your decision. God leads, not drags.
Don’t make God the bad guy.
P,50-52

God’s will for you/me to be for Christ-like. If you/me are seeking first the kingdom of God -you/me will be in God’s will. Live for Christ, die to self. God guides us in decision making.
Five statements to help understand God’s guidance.
1. God guides us by His invisible providence at all times.
2. God can speak to His people in many different ways, guiding them with their conscious cooperation. = Behind the scenes.
3. In these last days, God has spoken to us by His son. Jesus is the example.
4. God continues to speak to us by His son through His spirit in the scriptures.
5. Apart from the Spirit working through scripture, God does not promise to use any other means to guide us, nor should we expect Him to.
Paul made decision many time often alone.

Four tools Christians have made that can be used wisely.
1. Open doors. (Don’t be afraid to knock)
• Jonah’s boat. Think about it.
2. Flee the Fleece
• Don’t expect God to do ‘tricks’.
3. Random is as random does.
• I do this one often…
4. Impressions as impression.

Where information has increased, Wisdom has decreased.
Proverbs 2.
Would you/me choose Wisdom like Solomon did?
How do we get Wisdom?
1. Store up God’s commands. (Read the Bible)
2. Turn your ear towards Wisdom. (Listen to sound counsel)
3. Call out for insight. (Pray to God)
Romans 12:1-2 Three commands:
1. Present your bodies as living Sacrifices.
2. Do not conform to the world
3. “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
Ask for Wisdom.

Getting a Job.
Step 1. Search the scriptures.
• Is it Righteous?
• Does it Provide?
• Church?
Step 2. Get wise counsel.
Step 3. Pray. Pray for wisdom, and honesty.
Step 4. Make a decision.

Getting Hitched
Step 1. Search the scriptures.
Step 2. Get wise counsel.
Step 3. Pray. Pray for wisdom, and honesty.
Step 4. Make a decision.

Grow up in FAITH!
JUST GO DO SOMETHING, AND START MAKING DECISIONS.
