10 Years

10 years ago my family’s life changed. Mom went to Heavens Glory. My sister and I played the game “If you told me 10 years ago ___” last night. Many things have happened in the past 10 years, some good, some not so good. Growing up without a mother is tough, but Dad has done great! We can’t imagine what will happen in the next 10 years. No matter what, we know that if we “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6. That was Mom’s favorite verse though she had many more. It showed in her life up to the end. The last thing she wrote not long before she entered Glory was “FAITH”. Mom was a woman who loved her Lord with all her “Heart, Soul, and Mind”

This has become my favorite Bible verse, it has helped through the past several years: “The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.” Psalm 28:7
As I started this post – many things have changed, but one thing has not… God’s Everlasting Love and Word. God will always be with us… He Promised. He also Promised that those who Trust in His SON (FREE GIFT) will be with Him in Glory. I will see my Mom again! I do not mourn like those who have no hope, my Hope is in Christ! Miss you Mom… but I will see you again and I will meet my Savior one day!

Sis sick

Oh, what do you do when your sister is sick… and being with her is the only thing to do on a normal day? Prepare for the future, take care of her, and not complain. She has it worse then me. She doesn’t want to be sick… I shouldn’t fault her.

She has been sick since Monday, and was getting worse Wednesday, But yesterday I gave her a strong allergy pill and that seemed to help a little. However, today she woke up with a puffy eye. She went to see immediate care. They gave her eye drops and an antibiotic. That should help.

All I want is for my sis to get better.

Mother’s day 2018

Today is May 13th 2018 which happens to be Mother’s Day.

This day is always hard for my family. We all miss Mom.

Every Mother’s Day though we remember that we will see her again one day.

We still have her example to live by, she was faithful to her Lord.

Right now, Mom is enjoying another Mother’s Day in Heaven.

Today my sister and I decided to have a sister day! Today is also a full moon, and national pet day. Quite a day! My sister and I went to the mall, and had fun window and actual shopping. We got some candles, earrings, and food! Today must have been deal day, a great time to go!

We had a blast, I wish we could do it more often.

Not much in the family has gone on, and I am actually thankful for that. My sister in law recently lost her grandma which makes three grandparents dying in the past six months for her. I can’t imagine losing one family member after the other. And as far as I know, only one of the three were saved. Praying for strength for the entire family.

My close family is fine. Getting ready for my sister’s graduation, and my sister in laws graduation. My sister will be graduating from High school and my sister in law is graduating from college! My sister hopes to go into grooming dogs as a career. She will be going to trade school sometime in 2018. My sister in law has finished interior design courses. She hopes to work for herself and help people.

My dad is looking at maybe working again… just something small.

My brother (not eldest) is looking for a job, he has to get some kind of job here pretty soon.

Me? I am boring. I am currently waiting on what I should do next. So far, waiting seems to be a good choice.

With Grandpa gone many things will be different.

Last night it hit me (or I finally let myself) that my Papa will never be around anymore. I loved my Papa and he was one of my best friends… third on my list. (Jesus, My sister, PAPA.) I would go to him for advice, and prayer support.

However I could never wish him back. He is in a much better place. I will see him again one day.

His funeral went well. I wish I could have sang the song without as much tears, but I kept my Promise to Papa that I would sing his favorite song.

Now I must learn to live without his jokes, advice, prayer support, and friendship.

I miss you Papa, but I know we will be together one day again!

Today I lost one of my closest friends… my grandpa. He was a great man who loved the Lord. He always had a smile, and was always telling jokes.

He will be greatly missed, but one day we will all be together with our Lord!

This was grandpa’s favorite hymn:

Day by day, and with each passing moment,
Strength I find to meet my trials here;
Trusting in my Father’s wise bestowment,
I’ve no cause for worry or for fear.
He, whose heart is kind beyond all measure,
Gives unto each day what He deems best,
Lovingly its part of pain and pleasure,
Mingling toil with peace and rest.
2
Every day the Lord Himself is near me,
With a special mercy for each hour;
All my cares He fain would bear and cheer me,
He whose name is Counsellor and Pow’r.
The protection of His child and treasure
Is a charge that on Himself He laid;
“As thy days, thy strength shall be in measure,”
This the pledge to me He made.
3
Help me then, in every tribulation,
So to trust Thy promises, O Lord,
That I lose not faith’s sweet consolation,
Offered me within Thy holy Word.
Help me, Lord, when toil and trouble meeting,
E’er to take, as from a father’s hand,
One by one, the days, the moments fleeting,
Till with Christ the Lord I stand.

Love and miss you Papa!

I had a great time with my sister in law, niece, and nephews today. My sister and I rode our bikes to their house, and then to the park. We were there for about two hours. Then my sister and I had to ride home fast to beat the rain. It was still light rain when we got home. ten minutes later the rain started coming down. Still a fun day!

FAMILY

My brother and his family will be moving back close to where I live. Having them less then 20 minutes away then 10 hours will be nice. More babysitting I see in my future!
