Okay, so we were having trouble with Pearl not going in the litter box. (We only have one.)
After two weeks of having accidents I did some research and found that there is multi-cat litter. So we thought we would try it. I just cleaned the litter box today, and it looks like the litter will work. There hasn’t been an accident since we got the new litter!
So far things are going well. They have learned to mostly avoid each other. Shugums will hiss if Serafina is too close, or scares her. Shugums still has a bit to go in adjusting, but Serafina is doing well. I tried to feed them from a two sided bowl (which was Shugums) however that didn’t work, so I got Serafina a simple bowl and they now eat side by side.
It is amazing how different they are. Shugums is a loner, and Pearl wants to cuddle. Serafina likes to be petted, and Shugums would rather you not.
The Picture up top is of my two Beautiful Cats. The Pics of them laying down is the day I got them. Then I just put pics of their faces. As you can tell Shugums was a bit more cuddly when I first got her, but that went away one week after I got her. Shugums is the top left and bottom right, and Serafina is the other two.
Yesterday I got another Cat! Her name is Serafina. She is a DSH white cat. She is shy, but loves to cuddle. She is also great at hide and seek. She seems to be adjusting okay, but it will take time for Shugums to adjust. Serafina is about three years old, which is close to Shugums age.
A little while ago I took Shugums to the vet. She had been losing some weight for no reason. Well she was a healthy weight (I already knew that) and the tests came back negative.
However I am still a bit worried. She has been a chubby cat since the forth month we had her. Now she has gone down from being 14lbs to 11lbs for no reason. And she seems to still be losing weight. Hoping the tests are right…
I don’t know about most cats, but mine loves to eat. We feed her (Hard food) twice a day, and she tries to trick us into giving her more. She meows very loudly trying to get us to feed her.
She also likes other things, not just hard food. Such as: Soft food, Ice cream, Milk White/Chocolate, Cheese, and Water. She will try to steal whatever she can. She has come up with the idea that every cup is hers to drink out of, and if she can’t reach her head in, she will put her paw in the cup and drink off her paw.
She will sit at the table and eat.
Shugums is my cat and blessing. She is an inside short-haired domestic. I got her in June of 2012 from Petsmart. She was about a year old then. I had prayed for years that I would get a cat, and the Lord blessed me with the very cat I prayed for!
Shugums has some funny nicknames, such as: Shugie-whoogie, Sugar plum, Sugar, Shug, and Nut. I got the idea for her name from a audio book I listened to growing up. The audio book was “Critter County.” Shugums is a fun name, but to me it has a meaning behind it. The name Shugums reminds me to love others, and help them.
