Play-dough

Had fun with home made play-dough last night! I got the recipe on how to make the play-dough off of pinterest. We keep the play-dough in plastic containers to keep it soft. We now have pink, orange, and red play-dough!

Vet

A little while ago I took Shugums to the vet. She had been losing some weight for no reason. Well she was a healthy weight (I already knew that) and the tests came back negative.

However I am still a bit worried. She has been a chubby cat since the forth month we had her. Now she has gone down from being 14lbs to 11lbs for no reason. And she seems to still be losing weight. Hoping the tests are right…

Eph 2:8-9

Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Faith, Not works. Thank God that Salvation is free through His shed blood on the cross. All we have to do is believe in Him. We don’t have to do some many good things to redeem ourselves. Although doing good is part of God’s plan, but Salvation is one thing He offers Free. Now nothing is truly ‘free’ even salvation. Someone had to pay the price, and that was God’s son Jesus Christ.

Thank you Father for the paid in full gift!

Bless

Today I was able to visit again with Mrs, Slinker. She is the grandma of a good friend of mine. She had the knee replacement surgery. She is at home, and still needs encouragement. Today I got to sing to her and have her listen to a sermon that my eldest brother did back when he was a teenager. She knows the Lord is with her, but human encouragement is always nice.

Feb, 16th 2009

It has now been 7 years since Mom died. I still remember the few days so clearly. It was such a shock to me. I never thought I would lose my Mom until we were both old-er. It happened all at once it didn’t stick until after the viewing, and I was standing above looking down at my Mom. It was a long ride home that night to get ready for the funeral the next morning.

There are some people you will soon forget, but there are some people who you can’t forget. Mom loved and Trusted in the Lord and you couldn’t help but notice. Mom’s favorite verses in the Bible were Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” And Nahum 1:7, “The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.”

Miss you Mom.

Valentines day

Today is Valentines day. This valentines day, don’t forget about the love of our Lord. Thank Him today for always loving no matter what.

Share time with your family!

Although today is bitter sweet to me, I have a God that is good.

“For ever”

Psalm 119:89, “For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.” Amen! Knowing that no matter what, God’s word will never change, and He never changes!

We can be sure that God is there. He said in His word “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Since God’s word (and He) will never change you can trust Him to be with thee!

John 3:30

John 3:30,  “He must increase, but I must decrease.” I can’t put it any better then that, but here are some thoughts.

I think sometimes we think to highly of ourselves. Yes we are master pieces created by a Holy God, but we are His creation. Keep your eyes off yourself and put them on God and others in need.

With our busy lives we NEED to Make time for God. Actually I think we should start with God and plan things around Him.

God is so good, and merciful.

February 9th 2002!

It started as a normal day, but then we I went to bed and things changed.

I was laying in bed thinking. I then decided it was time to accept Jesus into my heart. I went out to Mom, and she wondered why I was up. I told her that I wanted to ask Jesus into my heart. We talked for a bit. She asked if I fully understood. I said that “Satan is bad, God is good.” I wanted to be in God’s family. Next we went and knelt down by a chair, and I asked Jesus to save me.

You know how there are decisions you regret making? Well there is a decision I made 14 years ago and I have never regretted it. 14 years ago today I made the decision to accept Jesus into my heart! Best decision I made!

John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Strength

Woke up with this verse on my mind Nahum 1:7, “The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.” Not only is God good, and strong but Psalm 28:7 says  “The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.”

God can help with whatever you may be going through. He is good, strong, our strength, our shield, our trust, our help, and He is worthy to be praised!
