Valentines day

Today is Valentines day. This valentines day, don’t forget about the love of our Lord. Thank Him today for always loving no matter what.

Share time with your family!

Although today is bitter sweet to me, I have a God that is good.

“For ever”

Psalm 119:89, “For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.” Amen! Knowing that no matter what, God’s word will never change, and He never changes!

We can be sure that God is there. He said in His word “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” Since God’s word (and He) will never change you can trust Him to be with thee!

John 3:30

John 3:30,  “He must increase, but I must decrease.” I can’t put it any better then that, but here are some thoughts.

I think sometimes we think to highly of ourselves. Yes we are master pieces created by a Holy God, but we are His creation. Keep your eyes off yourself and put them on God and others in need.

With our busy lives we NEED to Make time for God. Actually I think we should start with God and plan things around Him.

God is so good, and merciful.

February 9th 2002!

It started as a normal day, but then we I went to bed and things changed.

I was laying in bed thinking. I then decided it was time to accept Jesus into my heart. I went out to Mom, and she wondered why I was up. I told her that I wanted to ask Jesus into my heart. We talked for a bit. She asked if I fully understood. I said that “Satan is bad, God is good.” I wanted to be in God’s family. Next we went and knelt down by a chair, and I asked Jesus to save me.

You know how there are decisions you regret making? Well there is a decision I made 14 years ago and I have never regretted it. 14 years ago today I made the decision to accept Jesus into my heart! Best decision I made!

John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Strength

Woke up with this verse on my mind Nahum 1:7, “The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.” Not only is God good, and strong but Psalm 28:7 says  “The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.”

God can help with whatever you may be going through. He is good, strong, our strength, our shield, our trust, our help, and He is worthy to be praised!

Battle

I was looking through my “Majesty Hymnal” and I came to the song “The Battle Hymn Of the Republic” under the title it had “The Battle is the Lords.”

With all that is going on today, and all that might go on in our hearts that no one else might see, remember that the Lord can do anything! Give your trial to the Lord. Let Him fight for you. That doesn’t mean sit back and do nothing, no. You must do your part and be in God’s word. Listen for His voice. Pray that the Lords Will will be done in your life.

Also if someone does you wrong, turn the other cheek. Give it to the Lord and let Him take care of it.

I can honestly say it isn’t easy, but it will be worth it in the end. Keep your eyes on Him!

Quick

For a quick fun craft I take an old jar, wash it, and paint it. I might even tie a bow around it or put sparkles on.

You can use all kinds of jars, old cups, lotion bottles. Get creative!

Shugums-Food

I don’t know about most cats, but mine loves to eat. We feed her (Hard food) twice a day, and she tries to trick us into giving her more. She meows very loudly trying to get us to feed her.

She also likes other things, not just hard food. Such as: Soft food, Ice cream, Milk White/Chocolate, Cheese, and Water. She will try to steal whatever she can. She has come up with the idea that every cup is hers to drink out of, and if she can’t reach her head in, she will put her paw in the cup and drink off her paw.

She will sit at the table and eat.

LoVe

Today I just spent some time singing for an elderly lady at her home. She just had knee replacement surgery and I had gone to visit her several times at rehabilitation. She loves to hear singing. My sister and I sang many songs from “Majesty Hymnal.” “Our Prayer”, “How can I fear”, “Wings as eagles”, “In my heart there rings a melody”, and many more.

One time when I was visiting at the rehabilitation center, someone came in and said that singing and instruments are great therapy. One day with help from others, I hope to be able to sing (With instruments) at an assisted living home.

I love being with older people. There is so much that we can learn from them!
