Mother’s day 2018

Today is May 13th 2018 which happens to be Mother’s Day.

This day is always hard for my family. We all miss Mom.

Every Mother’s Day though we remember that we will see her again one day.

We still have her example to live by, she was faithful to her Lord.

Right now, Mom is enjoying another Mother’s Day in Heaven.

Jeremiah Week 19

Jeremiah 19:15, “Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon all her towns all the evil that I have pronounced against it, because they have hardened their necks, that they might not hear my words.”

A verse special to me

Joshua 1:9, “Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”

This verse has shown up in my life in the most unusual places… books. A book series that I love, and a new book I am reading right now. And the two books focus differently on the verse.

The book series focuses on “Have I not commanded thee?” As a sign that He has called the missionaries to their mission field. And then the rest of the verse goes with it.

The book I am reading now, focuses on “Be strong and of good courage;” and then the rest of the verse, leaving out “Have not I commanded thee?”

I love the way God brings learning verses to me by books and I am able to see the verse from different ways.

Sort of a craft

Recently, my sister and I have become obsessed with putting bible verses all over our bedroom walls.

I use Microsoft word and make them pretty like this:

I use word art, and different fonts and make them look nice. Then I print them out on card stock, and we hang them up.

Our room is getting full. We both can’t wait until we both have our own houses that we can put verses in every room.

Revival

This week at my church we have been having revival. Pastor Tom Farrell is the speaker.

I am joyous to say that last night I finally made the decision to fully surrender to the Lord Almighty! I have been thinking about it for the past year, but last night I made the decision.

I have to say I wondered what I would be like. Would I feel different? Would I act different? Would I be willing to give up some things?

The Answer… Yes to all. It is a wonderful feeling. It makes me want to act differently. And willing, yes, easy, no. However, I will be examining my life to see what needs to be “cleaned.”

I want to be a Romans 12:1-2 Christian.

Jeremiah Week 14

Jeremiah 14:14, 22

“Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.

Are there any among the vanities of the Gentiles that can cause rain? or can the heavens give showers? art not thou he, O LORD our God? therefore we will wait upon thee: for thou hast made all these things.”
