This weeks verse!

Psalm 40:2, “He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.”

Tonight as we come into Halloween I pray we all will be safe. Many people plan on doing some Bad stuff and hurting people… I pray no one will get hurt. Locking doors tomorrow for sure.

Be safe!

I got through this week! Not as successful as I hoped, but I did rather well.

I did say my Verse! Psalm 40:17, “But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God.”

I will let you know tomorrow what the next Verse is!

I made it!

It has been a year since the lowest I have ever been. With that- it has been a year that I have not let fear take me down! God has helped me through so much this past year, and I know He will continue to help me.

I want to note that my sister has also been a great help to me through this time. I know that she has put up with much, and I thank her for not walking away, or telling me I am crazy. She stood by, gave what advice she could, but mostly encouraged me to keep going!

I will never forget what this past year has taught me. One thing I will say He taught me is… I had to be broken so that I could learn, and really listen. I have been humbled and have learned much.

As I said in a past post “I will celebrate a year of not letting my darkest fears, my inner hate, my anger, and my nerves get the best of me. Even if I have to fight everyday to keep fear and despair far from me… I WILL!”    I WILL!

These are some verses that have helped me through:

Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

Psalm 28:7, “The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.”

Isaiah 41:10, “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

Wow, it has been a while.

I am going to start a new thing where every Sunday evening I will be putting a Bible verse or verses on here. I hope to make it a thing where I learn a verse on Sunday and memorize it through the week. I will recite the verse (or verses) to my sister on Saturday nights.

I am doing this because last Sunday night I realized how comfortable I had gotten at how far I have come. I believe last week God told me that it’s time for me to start doing things again. I need to grow, and the best way to do that is to be in God’s word. I have my sister as a accountability partner. She will help me make sure I do things. I want to change into the godly woman I have always dreamed of being. I can’t do that without God’s help. I know the Lord will give me the strength I need.

I pray the Lord will give me the determination and endurance I need. With October 24th around the corner, I need all the strength I can get. I do believe with God “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”(Philippians 4:13)

I will keep you updated on how it is going each week.

This week’s verse is Psalm 119:67-68 “Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes.”

Poem song

Over the past few months I have started to read more spiritual poems. Now over the past month I have started putting my own tunes to the poems. At first it was to help me memorize the poem, but it became enjoyably that I did a few more. Now I have about six small poems made into song. I love music and reading, why not put them together! I will continue putting poems to tunes!

Changes

Over the past 9 1/2 months my life has changed a lot… and for the better. I may not see now all that has changed, but I know there is more than what I see. My personality has changed, that I know. Some things that once seemed important… no longer hold on. Things that seemed smaller, have bigger meaning in my life. Some things were important and got More important to me… Such as Family. Some things were small, and got smaller… like possessions. When October 24th comes I will celebrate a year of not letting my darkest fears, my inner hate, my anger, and my nerves get the best of me. Even if I have to fight everyday to keep fear and despair far from me… I WILL! I never want to lose my smile again. (My family said that before October 24th 2015 I had a natural smile, but after that day, it left. The smile started to come back the end of January, but was truly back in March.) The Lord has taught me much, and I could never thank him enough. Has this been hard? Oh yeah… But God’s is/was able to give me strength!

God is Good!

Summer

As Summer is coming to an end, I know a lot of people will be busy once again. But through all the business, don’t forget to thank God for the day… no matter how good, or bad it seems to go. And no matter how busy you are. God made time for you, and He has His creation to take care of, I think you can make time to thank your Lord.

I like to say, “Plan your Day around the Bible, not the other way around.” Make a time for Bible and God first, then plan the rest of your day. Nothing should be more important than God and His word.

Power of God

As I watched a bolt flash of lightning fill the sky with light, I remembered a song about how the heavens reflect the Power and Majesty of God.

The Heavens Declare! “Listen to the waves of the ocean, crashing with the rhythms of praise; Listen to their song of devotion, dancing with the sun’s golden rays. Listen to the music of nature, floating from the birds in the sky, Singing the song of their Maker, Lifting His praises on high. Listen to the song of the Sunrise, Listen to the voice of the light; Watch as the moon gives the signal, Starting the music of night. Listen to song of creation; Listen to the language of praise, Filling the earth and the heavens, Praising the Ancient of Days. The Ancient of Days! The heavens declare the glory God; All nature is singing His majesty. The Mountains prepare a tribute of love; Creation is filled with His praise, The valleys ego His Splendor, the breath of the gentle breeze whispers along, the trees clap their hands with rejoicing, the voice of the thunder explodes into song! The heavens declare the glory God; All nature is singing His majesty. The Mountains prepare a tribute of love; Creation is filled with His honor glory and praise, glory and praise, Creation is filled with His honor glory and praise… PRAISE!” (Patch the Pirate)

Psalm 19:1 “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.”
